Treating Venous Insufficiency and Lipedema with Elizabeth (Chicky) Longobardi
Chicky Longobardi shares about the psychological impact that lipedema has had, mostly around body image, on her overall health. She shares how her meditation practice has contributed to her healing and allowed her to cope with lipedema. Chicky found that she has venous insufficiency in her legs, which must be treated before she can have liposuction surgery. We follow her through her consultations with Dr. Smith and Dr. Svahn, who tell her about the procedures she will undergo for her venous insufficiency. Chicky shares her gratitude and determination to keep walking. Chicky Longobardi has been successfully treated by Dr. Svahn. She currently receives manual lymph drainage and wears compression garments, and is planning to have lymph sparing liposuction surgery in the near future. Dr. Mark L.
