The Lymphatic System – New Territory for Research with James Moore, PhD

Dr. James Moore discusses his research on the movement of lymphatic fluid and its connection to edema, cancer, and immune function. He points out that many scientists, as well as the public at large, are unfamiliar with how the lymphatic system works, and shares his view on this new and important area of research.  As an engineer, Dr. Moore’s work is focused on finding solutions, and he is encouraged by seeing the development of new devices to aid the healthy flow of lymphatic fluid. Dr. Moore is a Professor of Bioengineering at Imperial College in London. He teaches and conducts research in biomechanics in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
