You Have to Take Your Health into Your Own Hands with Nancy Seely
Nancy Seely describes growing up with lipedema, shares the frustration of struggling with weight loss, and explains how despite strict attention to diet and exercise, her big legs did not change. As an adult, Nancy developed leg pain that affected her quality of life, and she recounts having multiple plastic surgeries without ever receiving a lipedema diagnosis. She realized that she had to take her health into her own hands, started doing research, and found she has lipedema. Nancy discusses her family history of lipedema, and tells us about the support she has found from the Facebook lipedema community. Nancy Seely works in education and lives in Tennessee. She had lymph sparing liposuction surgery for lipedema in Germany in 2014.
